The production challenges will begin on Monday 18th October 2021 and the entry deadlines will be Monday 6th December 2021. The deadline to register for the production challenges is Monday 29 November 2021.

Concept artists helping production artists

Artists competing in production categories are able to select any submission produced in the concept art categories as the basis of their entry.

If you participated in a concept category, you can still use your own concepts as the basis of a production entry. It is a condition of entry that your concept art submission may be used as the basis of a production category submission. Concept artists should be properly credited and linked if their concepts are used in a production category.

Can my entries be based on an existing IP?

No. Your submissions should not infringe any IP's rights. This means you shouldn’t use any movies or games as the visual reference for your entry.

Work in Progress

WIP (work-in-progress) materials must be posted in your challenge thread each week after registration for the challenge. As this is a key requirement for the challenge, it will not be possible to register for the challenge the week before the deadline as you will not be able to satisfy the weekly posting requirement.

Original Artwork

Entries must be new artworks specifically made for the challenge, and cannot be based on the concept art of another artist, or based on film, TV or game projects.

Challenge Judging

The challenge judging team and ArtStation.com are the judges of the challenge, and their judgement will be final.
